A Reflection on the Daily Office Readings

1 Samuel 28:3-20

In this passage, we encounter a solemn moment in the life of King Saul. In desperation, he sought guidance from a medium, despite previously banning such practices. Blinded by fear and uncertainty, Saul lost sight of God's presence and chose to consult the occult.

This passage reminds us that in times of distress, we must resist seeking solutions outside God's will. When we turn to worldly alternatives, we distance ourselves from His guidance and open doors to deception.

The apostles convened to seek God's wisdom. Peter emphasized that God accepts all through grace, not works. This revelation liberated the believers from the burden of law and division.

This passage reminds us that God's grace unites us despite cultural differences or backgrounds. Our salvation comes from faith in Jesus alone. As one body in Christ, we must embrace diversity with love, knowing that His grace binds us together.

The once possessed man was restored, clothed, and in his right mind, now a living testimony of Christ's power.

This powerful story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of Jesus' grace and deliverance. No matter how deeply entangled we are in darkness, Jesus can set us free and bring complete restoration to our lives.
