240430 The End

The End

Each new beginning marks the end
Of something else, that's true
Yet, every ending's not a thing
To necessarily rue

Though endings can be sad affairs
Tis not always that way
For often times a thing must end
For new to come in play

What young child doesn't count the days
Until the end of school
Or teen anticipate the end
Of strong parental rule

For, end of school means summer's here
From studies, take a break
And end of teens begins the steps
Independence now must take

Likewise, a wedding day marks end
Of searching, single life
But, beginning of the journey
As a husband and a wife

And working days will reach an end
No matter what career
Then, days begin quite differently
When retirement is here

All through life, things come to an end
It simply is life's way
So cherish each season you're in
For all will end one day

No matter your life's journey
On the Lord, you can depend
So begin each day with joyful praise
To the God who knows no end

If on earth you've served Christ Jesus
Then, to heaven, you'll ascend
To begin a life in paradise
For eternity! Amen
